May 6, 2008Hip-Hop in the Park… it’s official!
May 6, 2008If you know me personally (and I know you do, otherwise why would you care to read this) you’ve probably heard me raving and ranting about “Hip-Hop in the Park.”
On Saturday, May 24 in Edmonton’s Louise McKinney Park, from 12 PM to 8 PM, you can catch over 50 rappers, b-boys and b-girls, DJs, and graff artists. And it’s totally FREE. What’s that? Free, i.e. “no cost.”
There will also be prizes and games, BBQ food and refreshments, storytelling and open mic cyphers. According to the Facebook event, as of today, 8:13 PM, 500 people are expected to show.
It will be off the following things:
- Meter
- Meat rack
- Hook
- Hinges
- Heezey
- (possibly) The wall
Some of the artists you can expect are: Me, iD, Kaz Mega, Touch & Nato, Epic, Jesse Dangerously, Politic Live, Well Put, The Joe, Lovely, 118 and a googillion more. I should also have some CDs available for sale then too.
